Afremov was a Mexican-Israeli modern impressionist artist, born in Vitebsk, Belarus. He worked mainly with oils and a palette knife, painting landscapes, city scenes, seascapes, flowers and portraits. He lived in Belarus until 1990, then in Israel and Florida, before moving to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, in 2010. He died in 2019.
